Professor Bob Putnam and Tom Sander of Harvard Kennedy School’s Saguaro Seminar are searching for two stellar post doctoral fellows for the 2011-2012 academic year. The research will examine questions such as:
*What is the impact of sustained unemployment on civic engagement?
*Are social and political cleavages growing – e.g., between young and old, or haves and have-nots?
*How can societies adapt to challenges posed by large-scale immigration?
*Does religion foster or impair democratic citizenship?
During the fellowship, the selected scholars have to produce at least one to two high quality scholarly articles on our shared research agenda.
